About
The Zoo Keepers
I am originally from the “dirty south” but the FLA not the ATL, so maybe it’s not so “dirty”. I have now lived in Texas for 3.5 years and although I consider myself to be a Texan I am told I cannot truly be a Texan since I was not born here. One of the Texas license plates reads, “Texas, like a whole other country” and let me tell you that could not be any truer. I could go on and on about the reasons why this is so but it’s best you just visit Texas and find out for yourself. So I digress; I met my wife-to-be Shelby in Houston shortly after moving here in late 2005 to attend graduate school. I won’t go into the details of how that went down but one thing led to another and the next thing you know we were married in July ’07.
We are currently DINKS (Dual Income No Kids) living in suburbia. Although I am not sure “DINKS” is completely accurate. While we have no real kids, like most animal lovers, we consider the zoo to be our children. I frequently wonder if children would not have been easier and cheaper though. We both have always had pets of all kinds and believe it or not aspire to have even more one day when space allows.
So I hope some part of this blog will be enjoyable to you and feel free to contact me or post your comments.
