I came across this interesting story and thought I would share. I realize its a bit of a stretch for this blog but interesting none the less. Apparently the recession has driven the drug cartels to some unusual practices and desperate measures to keep customers happy and the profits rolling-in. The United States DEA says back in January 2008 they realized cocaine was being “cut” or mixed with animal de-wormer. Apparently the animal de-wormer enhances the effects of the cocaine. It also helps drive up profits in these tough economic times because they can mix the animal de-wormer with the pure cocaine giving them more product to sell without a diluted drug effect.
The downside to this strategy, you guessed it, animal de-wormer is made for animals. As if cocaine isn’t bad enough alone the animal de-wormer impairs the immune system leaving the coke heads vulnerable to infections.
Just another reason for you kids to say no to drugs!
