Bomb-Sniffing Labrador is Found After 14 Months Missing

Sabi, a bomb-sniffing labarador belonging to the Australian military was traveling with a joint Australian-Afghan army patrol in September 2008 when they were brutually ambushed in Afghanistan. During the fierce battle, which injured 9 members of the troop, Sabi disappeared. Months went by and there were no signs of Sabi, her unit feared the worst.

Yesterday, a U.S. soldier miraculously found Sabi at an isolated patrol base in Uruzgan. While nobody knows what has happened to Sabi over the last year she did appear to be in good shape like somebody may have been watching over her. For now she is back with her troop awaiting the results of various disease tests so they can determine if she can be sent back to her home country of Australia.
