Dasuquin for Cats Review – End of Week 8

End of Week 8

Wubba seems to be back on track now after what appeared to be a brief setback. Last week he looked to be acting somewhat uncomfortable again after weeks of positive results. A reader suggested that maybe all of the extra activity may have been responsible for the setback. Jumping on and off the countertops is probably not the best exercise for an overweight cat. He was probably feeling better which led to the jumping and which also subsequently led to his joints aching again. He basically was over doing it.

As my reader suggested, we are going to try to keep him doing low impact exercises. Low impact exercises will help lubricate his joints and hopefully keep his joints from aching. He really loves this toy called the “cat dancer”. It is really nothing more than a piece of piano wire with a piece of cardboard on the end. For whatever reason though it really gets his prey drive going.

I will update again one last time next week. This week I will continue with the low impact exercises.

  • Thanks for the nice comment. Please be sure to let me know how Pumpkin responds to the Dasuquin. Hopefully it eases some of her discomfort and pain like it has for Wubba.

  • I have a 19 yo female cat, we are on her second bottle of Dasuquin and it is working great. I have 3 levels in my house and she would rarely go up or down the stairs and she walked very stiff. Since being on Dasuquin she walks up and down the stairs to see me! I have noticed a significant change! I make the Dasuquin into a paste and smear it on her mouth (she would not eat it sprinkled or mixed into anything). We have even started a “cardio routine” of getting her to walk around the house for a treat.
