Instead of getting upset and pouring money into the bashing of Michael Vick, the NFL for reinstating him and the Philadelphia Eagles for signing him Main Line Animal Rescue of Philadelphia has devised a better idea. Every time Michael Vick gets tackled in a game Main Line Animal Rescue is going to donate 5 bags of food to a local animal shelter in whichever city he is playing in that week.
This week Philadelphia is playing in Washington so Main Line Animal Rescue placed the above ad in the Washington Post today. Each week, Main Line Animal Rescue will place a similar ad in the newspaper of the city that the Philadelphia Eagles are slated to play in.
I really have to applaud the efforts of Main Line Animal Rescue. Nobody is denying the acts Michael Vick committed against those dogs are just horrendous to say the least. However, instead of bashing Michael Vick, the NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles which would not had any positive impacts on homeless doggies they devised an intuitive way to use Michael Vick to advance their cause.
Main Line Animal Rescue just gave everybody a new reason to root against the Eagles and the NFL might have gained some new fans in the process….everybody is a winner, well except the Eagles and Michael Vick.
