Man Who Cried Sh*t

June 3rd, 2009 by Jeffrey P

I am almost embarrassed to report that this story makes the news here is SE Texas. Story goes, In February Joseph Loflin approached his neighbor, Michael Rainey, and his 13 year old daughter to discuss their cats using his front yard as a litter box. Mr. Loflin described how the cats would crap in his yard and then how his dogs would find it and unknowingly to Mr. Loflin bring it into the house. Ther term “cat sh*t” was apparently used by Mr. Loflin 3 times during this conversation. Long story short, Mr. Rainey did not appreciate “cat sh*t” being said in front of his 13 year old daughter and Mr. Loflin was charged with disorderly conduct. However, today after 15 minutes of deliberation, a jury of his peers found Mr. Loflin not guilty due to lack of evidence. “A little piece of America died today when a jury of six says it’s OK to curse in front of a 13-year-old when asked not to,” Mr Rainey stated after the jury announced it’s verdict. Call me insensitive but are you sh&tten me! I can be arrested for telling my neighbor to keep his cat sh*t out of my yard? In today’s society is sh*t even considered a curse word? Full coverage of this breaking news can be found here.
