A Petland employee has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty after she allegedly drowned to ill rabbits in the Akron, Ohio store she worked at. The story came to light after a photo was discovered on Facebook of her holding the two dead rabbits. In light of this incident Petland has closed the Akron store and moved all of the animals to another location.
This is just another notch in the Petland belt of disgusting acts of animal neglect and cruelty. If you remember Petland is already facing a $20 million class action lawsuit in Ohio related to animal cruelty. I am sure their attorneys are just loving the timing of this incident.
