Texas Woman Dies Trying to Rescue her Dogs from Icy Pond

A Forth Worth woman drowned after apparently attempting to rescue two of her dogs that fell through a thin layer of ice covering a pond. Her body was recovered after somebody from a nearby subdivision reported a dog running loose around the pond to the local animal control authorities. Animal control authorities came across the woman’s coat, cell phone and ID while trying to capture the dog. Animal control authorities immediately contacted the police department. Shortly after a dive team recovered her body along with her two dogs. Friends of the woman are still trying to capture the woman’s third dog.
