Usain Bolt may get all of the glory and money but he has nothing on Sarah, the Cincinnati Zoo’s 8 year old cheetah. Sarah recently shattered the old land speed record for a mammal, twice! Sarah’s two record breaking 100 meter dashes were clocked at 6.16 seconds and then she decided that was not good enough and ran 100 meters in 6.13 seconds. How does this measure up to Usain Bolt’s world record breaking 100 meter dash in August? More than 3 seconds faster! Usain Bolt’s record breaking 100 meter dash was 9.58 seconds which is mere child’s play to Sarah.
When Sarah was asked what she thought about Usain Bolt she only said one word, “amateur”.
Are you listening Usain? Sarah has laid down the gauntlet and it’s going to take a lot of steroids, more than usual, to play on her level. That’s one kitty cat you would not want to upset.
