Veterinary Practice News is currently holding it’s 4th annual “They Ate What?” X-ray contest. You can submit your pets X-ray electronically here, along with a 100 word explanation. The grand prize is a digital single lens reflex camera. Last year’s grand prize winner, a 12 foot burmese python who ingested a rabbit and the 3′x4′ heating blanket it was on. Previous winners and honorable mentions can also be viewed on the website.
Personally, I have had some experience in this field with Emma. Luckily we have never had to have anything surgically extracted from her although I think I deserve an honorary DVM for several sock and knee high extractions….they just never seem to come all of the way out on their own. Sorry, I do not have any pictures…..just some bad memories.
